There IS a Baby!

Confirmation: There IS a baby. We have SEEN the baby.
WOOHOO!!

Well, from the pictures below you can definitely see a big baby growing in there. The technician was VERY nice and went through everything with us. Since we told her we didn’t want to know the sex of the baby (*sniff*) we only got a few pictures of the important features.

Snickers was moving around a little during the show though. Justin said he thinks ‘Reeces Pieces’ is going to be a breakdancer and was flashing us the peace sign. 🙂 We saw the bottom of the skeleton and she said the top half looked great as well. She said that the doctor has to look at all of the pictures but from what she can tell, we have a perfect baby. No third eyes or anything… Whew! 🙂

So what does this MEAN? It means we get to go SHOPPING for BABY STUFF! Obviously no clothes… but do you KNOW how many strollers, car seats, high chairs, etc. etc. there are? There are multiple books that go over this stuff. Scary!

Once we saw the doctor, she confirmed that everything was good. She scared us a bit by delaying telling us the AFP test but I don’t think *she* knew what it was before she sat down, so she is forgiven. Everything was great though.

The one bummer is that my due date got moved back. The doctor had 12/7/05 from my ‘period’ date. I had 12/12/05 because I was charting my cycle. The tech moved it back to 12/14/05. It’s not that much of a backtrack but considering I know what day I am *every* day it’s highly annoying. ANNNNDDDDD, if I am a week and a half late I have a Christmas baby. (Obviously, as Justin said we just want a healthy baby…) I would like a healthy baby EARLY though, I AM the one who is carrying it around, thankyouverymuch. (Even though I’ve had a pretty much perfect pregnancy but whatever…)

Another interesting tidbit is that my placenta is in the front which means it’s disguising some of those kicks coming from Snickers, so that is kind of interesting. It can be in the front or the back with no problems. The bad thing is if it’s on the bottom (and it’s not) so we are all good. I just migiht have a nice break from being punched all the time which sounds good to me.

The other update is that we decided that we didn’t like Samantha as much. We like the name Bailey Dawn better. So we still have our boy name of Griffin Scott and now we have Bailey Dawn. The middle name is still sketchy because we can’t do Anne (initials would be B A D), Jo is to ‘texan’ and initals would be BJ. Many other ones just sound to hokey (to us anyway!) so we are still thinking about it. Truck (Justin’s step-father) came up with Dawn and I like it though so that is what is on my mind.
