Short post. I went to the doctor’s today and she said I am 20%-30% effaced! Woohoo! That’s actually perfectly normal at this point in time. The baby’s head is down which the doctor clearly felt (*joy*) and it’s slowly thinning out my cervix (which is what effacement means). As I keep thinning out, I will then slowly (or quickly!) start dialating. Apparently, Dr. Fee still has my Dec 7th due date in her notebook which is what she is going off of! It shocked Justin and I a little bit. When you think you have four weeks, and you are told three, it slightly shocks you… She actually didn’t seem to care to much about the actual date. Simply said that anytime that week is a good guess. Although if the baby decides to come anytime between now and then, it’s going to be perfectly fine with her. She also said that the full moon caused a bunch of her patients to go into labor the past few nights – I thought that was pretty funny. The next full moon is on my due date, whew! (Actually, Dec 16th) – Our company Christmas party is on the 10th which we are laughing about. It would be a shame to miss it so I hope I come a few days early so I can peek my head in or right after so we won’t have to miss it. It’s going to be tons of fun!
Anyway, this didn’t turn out to be that short but around noon today I started sneezing and sniffling like crazy and it has moved into my sinuses. Again.. *joy*. Luckily, it seems to be just a cold which you can’t really take anything for anyway. (Rather than a horrible infection where I would need heavy duty stuff which I couldn’t take anyway…) Dr. said I could take Sudafed so I might grab that tomorrow. Right now, I definitely feel… not good. Up to bed for me!

Next doctor appt is on 12/1! Another two weeks! Woohoo! I got lucky because of the holiday next week. 🙂
